A credit card called ‘Vanquis.’ Not the easiest brand name to remember is it? But it does sound like a word from another time – a historical time of brave warriors, noble steeds and fair maidens.
With this in mind we put brand recall at the heart of our idea for Vanquis, and brought it to life with a £10M TV led campaign set in medieval times – the perfect stage on which to dramatise the innovative benefits of a Vanquis card.
The epic style commercial shows a dashing hero returning from a great quest with ‘The card of Vanquis’ at his side. In a passionate speech (whilst extolling the benefit of the payment text reminder) he urges the townsfolk to ‘Acquire the power of Vanquis’ themselves.
